LASPAU: Academic and Professional Programs for the Americas is a non-profit organization affiliated with Harvard University. Founded in 1964, more than 20,000 academics, scientists and professionals have received grants or participated in programs administered by LASPAU. The organization’s efforts are focused on institutional capacity building and human resource development, principally through the design and management of international scholarship programs at the graduate level, evaluation and testing services, and professional development programs. LASPAU promotes the development of human capital, social inclusion and economic growth in Latin America and the Caribbean by strengthening higher education, building institutional capacity and fostering academic innovation.
