Health Advocacy Innovations is a global health nonprofit focused on solving neglected health issues in a low-tech, high-impact way. Our founding focus is on pediatric drug-resistant TB treatment. No medications for children currently exist, which means that doctors and nurses must cut adult pills by hand for each child's dosage. This is incredibly inefficient and inaccurate, and prevents children from getting the treatment they deserve. We have designed a device to address these failures in treatment.
Our work was presented at the Union World Conference on Lung Health in Cape Town. Our supporters and partners include USAID, Partners in Health, and TB Alliance. We are based in Boston, and will be working with Partners in Health and Harvard Medical School for our pilot implementations in Peru and in Pakistan.
