Since 1972 Cultural Survival has partnered with Indigenous communities to advance Indigenous Peoples rights and cultures worldwide.Cultural Survival envisions a future that respects and honors Indigenous Peoples inherent rights and dynamic cultures, deeply and richly interwoven in lands, languages, spiritual traditions, and artistic expression, rooted in self-determination and self-governance.
We publicize Indigenous Peoples' issues through our award-winning publications; we mount letter-writing campaigns and other advocacy efforts to stop environmental destruction and abuses of Native Peoples' rights; and we work on the ground in Indigenous communities, always at their invitation. Our work is predicated on the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Cultural Survival has consultative status with the United Nations. The most important member of our team is you. None of our work would be possible without our members. Please make a donation to become a member today.
