Podcast Marketing Intern (Why We Wander) - The Wandering Scholar

Why We Wander is hosted by the founders of The Wandering Scholar, a non profit organization founded in 2009 that makes international travel opportunities accessible to high school students from low income backgrounds. The bi-weekly podcast focuses on all things travel: the places people go, the experiences that have transformed their lives, and how the travel landscape is evolving to meet the demands of a changing world. We also feature interviews with founders, documentarians, boundary pushers and advocates - people leading the charge of transforming the who, how, and why of travel.

The podcast marketing intern will be responsible for expanding our listener base, doing outreach to potential guests and sponsors, and producing and posting relevant content to enhance our social media presence across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. The intern should also have familiarity with - or the desire to learn - post-production skills such as inserting music, mixing and mastering audio clips, and creating trailers for social media. Wordpress/Squarespace experience is also a plus.

We are looking for a highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented intern with a passion for podcasts, marketing, travel and education, experience running engaging social media campaigns, and impeccable communication and writing skills.
