Citizen Diplomacy Programs: IVLP Intern - Summer 2020

Hours: Flexible - full-time or part-time (minimum 20 hours/week)
Compensation: Unpaid; travel stipend provided

Direct Supervisor: Sarah Sibley, Vice President for Citizen Diplomacy

Job Overview
Interns play a crucial role at WorldBoston, and actively participate in furthering our mission of bringing the world to Boston and Boston to the world. They also gain valuable, hands-on experience and access to internationally-oriented individuals and organizations in the Boston area.

The Intern will contribute heavily to WorldBoston's main programming for Citizen Diplomacy projects, including the State Department-sponsored International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP).

Duties:
● Conduct research related to local resources (i.e. professional counterparts) relevant to visiting delegations in international affairs

● Write project proposals

● Support programming of citizen diplomacy projects
- Communication with professionals in the Boston area
- Arranging logistics
- Participation in visits of international delegations
- Submission of material of citizen diplomacy programs for social media

● Assist with Custom Visitor Programs as needed

● Maintain resources on Salesforce

● Assist with other day-to-day office duties
