THE RIT ARTS FESTIVAL + THE RIT CONFERENCE THE REFUGEES IN TOWNS WEEKEND ONE WEEKEND, TWO PARTS: THE RIT ARTS FESTIVAL + THE RIT CONFERENCE https://www.refugeesintowns.org/events [email protected] TUFTS UNIVERSITY MEDFORD CAMPUS. Aidekman Center (40 Talbot Ave), the Granoff Center (20 Talbot Ave), and the Sophia Gordon Building (15 Talbot Ave) MM/DD/YYYY

The RIT Arts Festival is one of a kind event that will bring together artists, researchers, and the broader public to explore the integration experiences of refugees and communities. Artists have the power to express and represent experiences when words fail to do so. Rather than just showing all the ways in which refugees and immigrants contribute to society, the RIT Arts Festival will explore how immigration and the integration experiences are embodied in the process of art-making itself.

The RIT Conference will pair researchers with practitioners or policymakers from the same urban area to give presentations showcasing how their city/town/neighborhood is supporting migrant integration, and also how they are struggling with exclusion.
