This event will take a look at how grassroots grantmaking can promote climate justice and consider different models for grassroots grant making, how to mobilize and empower local communities, and support sustainable practices in Africa, Asia and elsewhere.  

The event will feature the work of New England Biolabs Foundation, the Global Greengrants Fund, and Unitarian Universalist Service Committee. 

 

The featured speaker will be Violet Matiru from the Global Greengrants Fund, and other speakers will include Jessica Brown of New England Biolabs Foundation, Dana Dallavalle and Salote Soqo from the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee. There will be time for Q&A and a general discussion following the presentation.

Together we will be looking at different models for grassroots grant making, how to mobilize and empower local communities and support sustainable practices in Africa, Asia and elsewhere.
