The goal of the program is to address challenges of Healthcare Inequity in the era of COVID-19. Students will work Virtually across cultures with Healthcare Related non-profits located both in the US/Iraq to address challenges faced by those organizations. The 7-week program includes both synchronous and asynchronous activities including weekly conferences via Zoom and project-based learning activities via Moodle. Teams will be led by Masters/Phds in the field of Public Health from both the US/Iraq. This program is fully sponsored by the US Embassy Baghdad. No fees involved.
Program Participant Requirements:
30 US Undergraduate Students: Status Rising Junior Senior Application is Competitive.
Availability for synchronous and asynchronous activities, and orientation for 4-5 hours per week.
Ability to make the full 7-week commitment including final presentation.
Desire to work across cultures and solve global challenges.
Must be flexible for synchronous times and dates.
Must have reliable internet connection as this is virtual.
