I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Tufts University. My research and teaching interests center on comparative political economy with a focus on developing countries, oil and energy sectors, and private sector development. My primary regions of interest are the Middle East (Iran and Gulf region) and South Asia (India). From 2010-2011, I worked as a consultant at the World Bank in Washington, DC. In 2011, I was a research fellow at Harvard University's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs. I received a PhD from the University of Washington in 2011.
