Since spending Summer 2010 in-country with the Liberia Democratic Institute (LDI), as their Program Assistant on the Community Governance & Advocacy Project, I have returned to the United States and completed my Dual-M.A. Program at Brandeis University. Based on my time in Liberia, which saw me cover ground from at Monrovia to River Gee and back, I composed a 67pg. paper titled "Baby-Steps Toward a Peaceful and Profitable Future in the Republic of Liberia: Establishing Economic & Environmental Coexistence Between Rural Communities and International Logging Companies". From 2006-2008 I served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer (PCV) in the Kingdom of Lesotho. Specifically, I was an HIV/AIDS Advisor with the Lesotho National AIDS Commission (NAC, a parastatal) having been stationed in the remote and rural Qacha’s Nek District. In addition to collecting data and disseminating information on behalf of UNAIDS, I also advised and monitored Government agencies, NGOs, and CBOs throughout the district. Due to Lesotho’s truly challenging state of underdevelopment, my job required me to go far beyond just HIV/AIDS projects and more than delve into such issues as rural development and food security.

I am both a team-player and happy subordinate, but I have considerable experience working independently and (due to unforeseen events) have had to assume full leadership/managerial responsibility over three different offices I have previously worked in for extended periods of time. In short, I am now available for employment, am job hunting, and would be thrilled to learn of short-term or long-term opportunities.
